February 18, 25, March 4, 11, 18, 25 – (NO Midweek Classes) - Lenten Meal (5:30-6:30pm) & Lenten Service (7pm)
** In the event of inclement weather and school gets cancelled or dismissed early… Midweek will also be cancelled that evening.

** Parents: Reminder that if children are sick or have fevers, please keep them out of children activities on those days. We are trying to minimize the spread of germs to other families and volunteers.
MID-YEAR SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER MEETING
We will be having a mid-year meeting to talk about how the year has gone so far. We will discuss upcoming lessons, teacher tips, and feedback time. This is for classroom teachers & volunteers who help with lessons during Sunday school hour. Please attend: Sunday, Jan 18th after church (about 11:00am. We will keep it short!
CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS EVE PROGRAM
The kids did a great job! HUGE thanks to the many volunteers who helped make the Christmas program a success. A special thanks to Kathy Gloystein, Jean Blase, Wanda Buller, Jean Meadows, Megan Hansen, Sarah Eberle, Jacob Nikodym, Board of Christian Education, plus the many teachers/volunteers who helped with practices. The program couldn’t have happened without you! We are thankful for parents getting kids to church! Thank you for helping our kids tell others about Jesus!
JANUARY YOUTH STUFF…
ALL YOUTH (6-12th grade):
YOUTH & PARENT MEETING- Sunday, Jan 4
We will have our January meeting on Sunday, January 4th after 10am church service. This meeting is for parents and youth who are in 6th-12th grade. Your presence is important so we can plan appropriate events that youth want to do and hear specific youth event details. Please plan to attend and bring your family calendars.
YOUTH CAROLING & FUN NIGHT- Sunday, Dec 14th
Thank you to all the youth and Zion folks who came out to do some Christmas caroling! What a blessing to those folks you visited with as you spread some Christmas cheer, despite the cool winter air. Thanks to all the families who brought stuff for the potluck. The youth White Elephant gift exchange was a hoot! We were also able to send out 16 Christmas cards for Zion shut-ins & members.
Middle School Stuff... (6-8th graders)
** Mark calendars for March 27-28 (Fri/Sat) for Confirmation Retreat!! The retreat registration forms will be due by Wed. February 18th w/$40 checks made out to “Zion Lutheran Youth”. This retreat is for 6-8th graders and will be hosted at Camp Luther by Columbus NE!!
** Midweek starts up again on Wednesday, January 7th at 6:30pm.
Thanks to the Middle school youth who were able to help with the Christmas program. You guys/gals did great!
High School Stuff... (9-12th graders)
ADVENT MEAL FUNDRAISERS- Wednesdays, December 3, 10, 17
In December, the High School youth & parents did a fantastic job with the Advent meals! Donations for the meals were a HUGE blessing as we prepare for upcoming 2026 youth trips/events. YOU helped the youth raise over $800! Big thanks to all the families who donated menu items. The HS youth are planning to do 3 LENTEN meals February 18, 25, March 4.
YOUTH SPAGHETTI FEED – Sunday, Jan 25th
Save the Date: The High School youth will be serving up spaghetti on Sunday, January 25th after the 10am church service! Hope to see you all there!! We are tentatively holding off on January fun events for all youth, but we will pick up again in February.
